These popular sandals can be made with a custom-made orthotic appliance built into the shoe. These are very beneficial for our patients that like to wear custom foot orthotics in regular shoes. These custom-made shoes are made from a plaster of paris mold of the foot. These shoes are used for patients with very severe foot deformities such as bunions, hammertoes, and diabetic foot problems. Medicare will pay for these type of shoes if you have a diabetic related foot problem. These prescription shoes have a very deep toe box. This is helpful for patients with severe bunion and hammertoes. Medicare will pay for these shoes if you have a diabetic related foot problem. These custom made insoles are for our diabetic patients with extra depth orthopedic shoes. Medicare will pay for these type of insoles if you have a diabetic related foot problem. Dr. Quezada makes a foam impression of your feet and has them scanned electronically by the Benefoot company. This company will electronically determine the proper size and width of your foot using their computer program. Benefoot then selects the proper shoe for your foot.
